Clyde's the Chairman of the Board and 50% owner of ARCA; he also happens to be a great producer. Make that "Award-Winning Producer." He has produced countless spots which have won Addy Awards from coast to coast and a Silver Microphone Award. A gospel record album (really, as in vinyl) he produced and engineered in the late 1970's contained a song which was nominated for a Grammy. Clyde knows things about music most people don't understand: what you can legally use, what you can't. In addition to being a great sound designer in the studio, Clyde has served as president of the Arkansas Advertising Federation and of Friends of KLRE/KUAR, the support group for local public radio. Sometimes Clyde is referred to as "The Lip"; he's a member of The Natural State Brass Band–a British styled all-brass band. He (along with his partner, Dick) was co-recipient of the Arkansas Advertising Federation's "Distinguished Service Award" in 1991 and they were voted by the same group as "Advertising Person of the Year" in 1992. Then, in 2006, Clyde was given the federation’s Lifetime Service Award in recognition of sustained excellence in advertising. Clyde has judged ADDY® Awards in places like Waco and Temple, Texas, as well as Knoxville, Tennessee and Monroe, Louisiana. (For some reason Monroe keeps asking him back) |
